Alissa assumed the role of Board Chair in 2023 after serving as CEO for from 2021-2023 and also as the company’s President for 14 years; leading us in company growth and success. The daughter of the company’s founder, Alissa started her career with Danny’s in 1981 and spent many years performing various accounting and leadership functions. Alissa works tirelessly to maintain our competitive position in the Structural Steel Industry. She provides the resources and leadership to model our company’s core values of excellence, integrity and each other. She earned her accounting degree from Augsburg College and holds a CPA license. She has served as a past Chairperson for the Minnesota Chapter of Associated General Contractors, has been recognized by the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal among top women in business, and continues serving as a long-standing management trustee of the Ironworker’s National IMPACT program.

Chris began his career at Danny’s Construction Company as a Project Manager. His work ethic, attention to detail and ability to manage and complete projects within budget and on-time allowed Chris to move up the ranks to a Division Manager in 2006, the Vice President of Midwest Accounts in 2009, the Executive Vice President of Operations in 2020 and in June of 2021, assumed the role of President. His notable projects include Target Field, US Bank Stadium, King Plant Environmental Retrofit, Allianz Field and Climate Pledge Arena Retrofit. He obtained his Civil Engineering degree from Michigan Technological University and is also a Professional Engineer. Chris strives each day to treat people the way he’d like to be treated. Enjoying time with family, friends and co-workers is what motivates him on a daily basis. He enjoys hunting, fishing and being active in his kids’ scouting and sports.

Matt started with Danny’s Construction Company in 2004 as an intern and supported the Project Manager and Superintendent on the Guthrie Theatre project in Minneapolis, MN. After a year, Matt moved to our Chicago, IL office and assumed a role as a Field Engineer working on the 300 N LaSalle 60 Story High Rise and the McCormick Place West Expansion projects. Quickly gaining experience and knowledge, Matt joined our West Coast division in San Francisco, California in 2007 and worked as a Project Manager for 6 years on notable projects such as the Oakland International Airport Connector and the San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge Oakland Touchdown Detour and Temporary Bypass. He was named West Coast Division Manager in 2013 and has continued to grow our presence in the industry, leveraging our experience and expertise to award us projects like the Golden Gate Bridge Retrofit & SDS. Matt is a graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management.

Tina started with Danny’s Construction Company in 1999 as an ironworker at the Excel Energy Center project in St. Paul, MN. After a short time in the field it was clear that she would be an effective project manager and made that transition. Tina has spent the entirety of her post-collegiate career with Danny’s building her experience on varied projects like Mitchell Station in West Virginia, Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska and more recently, Target Field, U.S. Bank Stadium and Allianz Field in Minneapolis & St. Paul, Minnesota. She recently accepted the position of Division Manager of the West Coast Market, working on expanding our presence & developing professional partnerships beyond the territories of our three divisional offices. Tina graduated from the University of Minnesota – Mankato where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management.

Travis joined the Danny’s Construction Company team in 2018 as a permit hand through the local ironworker apprenticeship program. After nearly a year learning the trade, Travis joined the Safety Department as a Safety Rep where he learned a ton about industry standards, protocol, and application while on projects such as Thrivent Financial Corporate Center and the Minneapolis Public Works Service Building in Minneapolis, MN. Through his 18 years of service in local law enforcement, Travis has developed strong communication and relationship-building skills and it became clear that he would make an effective Safety leader. He was soon promoted to Safety Manager and has spent much of the past four years traveling to many of our jobsites around the country like SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV, Salesforce Tower in Chicago, IL and Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA where he’s been able to help build a strong safety culture at Danny’s Construction. Travis has a Bachelor’s Degree from Bemidji State University, is a certified EMT, and holds multiple Safety related certificates. When Travis isn’t making our jobsites safe for all, he’s a dedicated husband, father to two girls, and loves any project that requires digging, hauling, building and being outdoors.

Matt was named Senior Estimator for Danny’s Construction Company in June 2016 and is responsible for accepting all bid invitations, allocating them to specialized Project Managers, coordinating our projects schedule and working closely with clients during the estimating and bidding process. He joined the company in 2004 as a Field Engineer on the Prentice Hospital Project in Chicago, IL and a year later, assumed the role of Assistant Project Manager on the Allen S. King Plant in Stillwater, MN. Matt then spent 11 years working as a Project Manager honing his management and estimating skills on jobs like the Iatan Generating Station in Weston, MO, the University of Oregon Basketball Arena in Eugene, OR, and the Nashville Music City Center in Nashville, TN. His unique experience with jobs of varying size and class make Matt an invaluable asset to our estimating process, solidifying our competitive position in the industry. Matt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2004.

Pat’s career with Danny’s began in 2007 in our Idaho office where he honed his estimating skills and helped manage a range of projects across the state, then relocated to Cedar Rapids, IA where he managed the construction of a new Federal Courthouse. Becoming a member of a team to manage a complicated build of a new vertical lift span over the Mississippi River in Burlington, IA in 2010 proved to be a pivotal moment in Pat’s career, as this is where his interest in building bridges was piqued. Through the years he has worked with a range of customers to add value as a construction partner, providing planning and construction services for many large structural steel projects including the Baudette – Rainy River International Bridge, the T.H. 43 Winona Bridge Rehabilitation, T.H. 53 Relocation Project in Virginia, MN and the Mall of America Phase 1C Expansion Project. Pat graduated from Minnesota State University – Mankato where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management. When Pat’s not working, he’s a father of three boys and enjoys spending time hunting, fishing and trap shooting.

Andy began working with Danny’s Construction Company in July of 1995 as a Field Engineer and with just a couple of short stretches of time developing elsewhere, he’s been with Danny’s working as a Project Manager since 2014 and most recently as the Division Manager of the Chicago Division. Throughout Andy’s career he’s been fortunate to work on a number of interesting projects like Micron Computer Chip Fab and R&D buildings in Lehi, Utah, the Mile Long Bridge I-294 NB project, the EJE Bridge over the Illinois River, and the American Airlines Hangar at O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, IL. Andy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is also a Licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois. Outside of his hard work and dedication to Danny’s Construction and the steel industry, he is a devoted father of two sons who also enjoys swimming and playing guitar.

Monet joined the Danny’s Construction Company team in July, 2022, as Division Manager for California. She is responsible for operations for both Northern California and Southern California offices. Previously serving as a Vice President for SME Steel, Monet has achieved significant awards and recognitions throughout her career while assisting on high profile projects such as SoFi Stadium, (W)rapper Tower, and Resorts World Las Vegas. With a passion for continuous learning, growth, and improvement, she holds a triple bachelor’s degree with a focus in Organizational Communications from BYU-I with all business classes completed in partnership with Harvard Business School. Monet holds the prestigious FMVA certification from Corporate Finance Institute and venture capitalist MBA among multiple certifications including finance, change management, conscious leadership, negotiation, business management, and communications with a deep commitment to adding distinct operational value across multiple disciplines.
