Alissa assumed the role of President of Danny’s Construction Company in 2007 and is responsible for all financial and operational aspects of the company. The daughter of the company founder, Alissa started her career with Danny’s in 1981 performing various accounting and support functions. She then spent the next 26 years working in various capacities, gaining significant experience in the industry as Supervisor of Accounting, Director of Computer Operations, Corporate Controller and Executive Vice President. A proud owner of a certified Women’s Business Enterprise, Alissa takes her role as President very seriously and works tirelessly to maintain our competitive position in the Structural Steel Erection industry. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Augsburg College and is a Certified Public Accountant. She is also Chairperson for Minnesota Chapter of Associated General Contractors, is on the Minnesota Steel Erectors Negotiating Management Committee for Collective Bargaining Agreement with Ironworkers Local #512 since 2000 and is Management Trustee for the IMPACT Program.
Chris began his career at Danny’s Construction Company as a Project Manager. His work ethic, attention to detail and ability to manage and complete projects within budget and on-time allowed Chris to move up the ranks to a Division Manager in 2006, the Vice President of Midwest Accounts in 2009 and as of 2012 became the Vice President. His notable projects include Allen County Ware Memorial Coliseum, Target Field, US Bank Stadium and King Plant Environmental Retrofit. He obtained his Civil Engineering degree from Michigan Technological University and is also a Professional Engineer. Chris strives each day to treat people the way he’d like to be treated. Enjoying time with family, friends and co-workers is what motivates him on a daily basis. He enjoys hunting, fishing and being active in his kids scouting and sports.
Bill has been with Danny’s Construction Company since 1998 when he was hired as a Division Manager for the Chicago market. Bill brings 43 years of service in the industry to Danny’s Construction Company and his experience as an Iron Worker, Superintendent, Estimator and Project Manager enabled him to assume the role of Vice President in 2006. He currently oversees our office located in Gary, IN. His notable projects include Soldier Field and McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, IL along with the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge in San Francisco, CA and Nashville Music City Center in Nashville, TN. Bill earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and his Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington. He is a certified welder and professional engineer.
Matt started with Danny’s Construction Company in 2004 as an intern and supported the Project Manager and Superintendent on the Guthrie Theatre project in Minneapolis, MN. After a year, Matt moved to our Chicago, IL office and assumed a role as a Field Engineer working on the 300 N LaSalle 60 Story High Rise and the McCormick Place West Expansion projects. Quickly gaining experience and knowledge, Matt joined our West Coast division in San Francisco, California in 2007 and worked as a Project Manager for 6 years on notable projects such as the Oakland International Airport Connector and the San Francisco – Oakland Bay Bridge Oakland Touchdown Detour and Temporary Bypass. He was named West Coast Division Manager in 2013 and has continued to grow our presence in the industry, leveraging our experience and expertise to award us projects like the Golden Gate Bridge Retrofit & SDS. Matt is a graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management.
Rob joined the Danny’s Construction Company team in 2015 as the Vice President of Finance and Accounting. He is responsible for finance, accounting, informational technology, risk and insurance. Rob comes to Danny’s Construction Company with 27 years in the industry. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Management from the University of South Dakota. He is a current member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).
Mike joined Danny’s Construction Company in 1999. With 26 years of experience as an Ironworker, a Connector and a Foreman, he was a perfect fit for the General Foreman on the Excel Hockey Arena in St. Paul, MN. He quickly became a clear candidate for the Minnesota Division Manager and assumed the role in 2001. After 5 years in that position, Mike became the Sales and Estimating Manager in 2006 and has since been a great contributor to our success in the industry. Mike is an asset to Danny’s Construction Company pairing his various levels of management with his years of valuable site experience in structural steel erection, miscellaneous metals, rebar, sheeting, welding & rigging, and a focus on bridge & railroad work.
Diane began her career with Danny’s Construction Company in 1998 as an Administrative Assistant. After one short year, she showed interest in the operations side of things and started her training and education to become a Safety and Claims Representative and eventually the Safety and Claims Manager. Diane is responsible for the development, implementation, documentation and enforcement of the company safety program in cooperation with other Danny’s Construction Safety Representatives, employees, our customers and project owners. She is a familiar and consistent face at all job sites and strives to send all Danny’s Construction employees home safely each day. Diane has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is a Certified Safety Professional, a CHST, an Outreach Program Trainer (OSHA 500), an MSHA instructor, and is a member of the Construction Safety Council (OSHA 30), ASSE, and the MN Safety Council. Diane is also committed to seeking out the most current information and practices in the Safety industry.
Matt was named Senior Estimator for Danny’s Construction Company in June 2016 and is responsible for accepting all bid invitations, allocating them to specialized Project Managers, coordinating our projects schedule and working closely with clients during the estimating and bidding process. He joined the company in 2004 as a Field Engineer on the Prentice Hospital Project in Chicago, IL and a year later, assumed the role of Assistant Project Manager on the Allen S. King Plant in Stillwater, MN. Matt then spent 11 years working as a Project Manager honing his management and estimating skills on jobs like the Iatan Generating Station in Weston, MO, the University of Oregon Basketball Arena in Eugene, OR, and the Nashville Music City Center in Nashville, TN. His unique experience with jobs of varying size and class make Matt an invaluable asset to our estimating process, solidifying our competitive position in the industry. Matt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 2004.
