Precision steel erection was critical when setting the 5,500 tons of structural steel for the historic, high- rise retrofit and seven-story glass-enclosed shopping mall.

Once DCCI had the steel in place, another contractor had to replace the historical cement tiles . . . everything had to fit as the tiles are no longer made!

This feat was accomplished during the snowy winter on one of Chicago's busiest streets and sidewalks. Beyond that, both structures are sandwiched in among other high rises.
