Soldier Field
Chicago, Illinois
Completed: June 2003

Soldier Field, the landmark dedicated to all who served in all branches of military service, was built in 1920 and became home to the Chicago Bears. The "Adaptive Re-use of Soldier Field" involved a compressed 20-month schedule (a project of this magnitude would normally require 28 months) where the historic exterior ring would remain untouched while the interior was completely demolished and rebuilt.

At the forefront of this project was the erection of 13,000 tons of structural steel. Danny's Construction Company committed to erecting and detailing the structural steel in just five months. Due to the sacrifice of the entire team employed by Danny's, this schedule was bettered by two weeks!
